INDUSTRIAL AND PROTECTIVE COATINGS INSPECTION

The protective coatings process requires inspection at every stage to ensure compliance to the specification. From the preparation of the surface to be coated, through climatic condition monitoring to the dry film thickness evaluation, visual assessment and gauge-based testing will ensure adequate process control.

We are excited to have recently upgraded our specialist tools, to include the latest in paint inspection equipment for the industrial and protective coatings industry.

Elcometer 319 Dewpoint Meter

The Elcometer 319 Dewpoint Meter has a robust temperature sensor, and is designed to measure and record all relevant climatic parameters required to determine whether the conditions are suitable for painting.

Elcometer 456 Coating Thickness Gauge

A coating thickness gauge (also referred to as a paint meter) is used to measure dry film thickness. Dry film thickness is probably the most critical measurement in the coatings industry because of its impact on the coating process, quality and cost. Dry film thickness measurements can be used to evaluate a coating’s expected life, the product’s appearance and performance, and ensure compliance with a host of International Standards. The Elcometer 456 Coating Thickness Gauge sets new standards; providing reliable and accurate coating thickness measurements; helping us to become more efficient.
