It’s been a while since our last blog post; that’s because we’ve been extremely busy working on a wide range of onsite spraying projects across the UK. In fact, October has been our busiest month ever! Here’s just a few of the projects we’ve been busy working on…
INDUSTRIAL ROOF COATING – BIRDS EYE LTD, LOWESTOFT, SUFFOLK
There are some pretty impressive stats from the Industrial Roof Refurbishment project we’ve just completed at the Birds Eye Ltd. factory in Lowestoft:
- Over 1km of cut edge corrosion repair and treatment
- Installation of over 300m of plygene gutter linings
- Replacement of over 120m of roof ridge and barge flashing
- 8,500sqm of industrial roof coating
- 15 year warranty
- Completed within 12 weeks (on time and on budget)

ONSITE SPRAYING – WH SMITH, NORFOLK & NORWICH HOSPITAL
We operate 24/7 so that your business can stay open with the least amount of disruption. This was ideal for carrying out the onsite spraying of WH Smith at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital. Our operatives worked from 10pm until 6am using cherry pickers and site lights, managing to get the work completed in just 1 week. We used a low temperature Pliolite masonry coating for the render and a high-performance gloss system for the metal framework.
INTUMESCENT COATING – PLANT ROOM, NORFOLK & NORWICH HOSPITAL
The new build plant room extension at the Norfolk & Norwich hospital required a 60-minute intumescent coating system to be applied to all structural steel. A structural steel loading report was devised by Sherwin Williams for Cladspray, to achieve the required 60-minute fire rating for use in a C2 environment. This exceptionally intricate job was successfully completed in a 2-week time frame – on time, and on budget. The system used was Sherwin Williams FX5062, FX5090 & M71V2 topcoat in steel grey. All coating thicknesses were measured throughout the job using our specialist Elcometer DFT gauge to ensure that the correct intumescent film thicknesses were achieved.
CLADDING SPRAYING – COCO LIGHTING, BRAINTREE
We are about to begin a cladding respray for Coco Lighting in Braintree. Their building is an old power station which is now a listed property. Cladspray Solutions will be spraying 4 elevations and a storage container to transform this already unique looking building. We will be using a special, winter grade cladding system to allow for the weather conditions at this time of year. You can find out more about the best time to spray paint your building here.
