CLADDING REFURBISHMENT
Woodlands Leisure complex near Sheringham (Norfolk), was in desperate need of cladding refurbishment. Consisting of 3 large metal cladded buildings, it had major problems with delaminated roof sheets and severe cut edge corrosion. The original plastisol coating was badly faded and had started delaminating heavily. Not only did the buildings look tired, but all three roofs were beginning to corrode. If not treated and coated, the corrosion would get worse and could possibly result in the high cost of re-roofing the buildings.
10 YEAR GUARANTEE
The owner of Woodlands Leisure complex, wanted a 10 year guarantee on the entire cladding refurbishment system. The buildings were surveyed and a bespoke specification was written by cladding coating manufacturer Rustoleum, to enable us to provide the 10 year guarantee on all the required work.
CUT EDGE CORROSION REPAIR
We undertook the work of treating the cut edge corrosion on the roofs and re-coating the entire building. The buildings were cleaned and degreased with Rustoleum’s ND14 degreaser to remove all contamination. All the delaminating plastisol coating was removed. All cut edge corrosion and faulty fixings were treated or replaced and coated with Rustoleum Noxyde. Two coats of Rustoleum Noxyde were then applied to all buildings, followed by two coats of Rustoleum Metal Cladding Topcoat.
CLADDING COATINGS
The finish colour, Van Dyke Brown, was chosen by Woodlands owner. A total of 180 x 20kg’s of Rustoleum Noxyde & 115 x 10ltr Rustoleum Metal Cladding Topcoat were used on this project. The end result – a complete cladding refurbishment project, with a 10 year company & cladding coating manufacturer guarantee.
