Cladding restoration
As part of Tesco’s continued roll out of their store rebranding, we were happy to take on another of their locations, this time closer to home in Brandon. The brief was simple, the cladding restoration and paint spraying of the existing PVDF cladding panels and micro-ribbed cladding panels from white to two-tone grey. The job also required preparation and coatings to the window and door glazing framework, support columns, soffit and fascias plus flashings, gutters and steelwork.
NO BUSINESS INTERRUPTION
Like many of our jobs, the business was in continued operation for the duration of the cladding restoration, and our team had to work in close proximity to members of the public.
We worked to reduce disruption to staff and customers to the bare minimum, keeping their safety in constant regard before we set to work preparing the surfaces.
Each surface was pressure washed to remove any contamination and loose material prior to coating. This process is essential in exposing any corrosion, which might require extra attention. Those corroded areas were then spot primed on the same day, ensuring the prepared areas are protected from ‘gingering’.
All sensitive areas including existing glazing were then masked and sheeted to eliminate overspray.
ENSURING LONGEVITY
The preparation work was complete, so we moved on to applying Tor Unicover S Coating System. This is our go-to coating for this kind of job, and was applied using a combination of airless and HVLP spraying techniques to ensure an excellent finish.

What our customers say…
Sean Carter – Rose Builders
Very pleased with the initial attendance by Dan Ruegg to discuss the project ahead of tendering. Response to queries and resolution of resolving a few issues was very positive. The site team were very polite and professional, would definitely use again.
Eddie Daniels – Future Projects
We are so grateful to Cladspray for donating their services, entirely for free!
The Cost of Living crisis has meant so many more people are in need of our support. But before Winter, our charity hub in West Norwich, the Baseline Centre, was worn and uninviting and many local people simply wouldn’t have known what services were on offer there.
Now, thanks to the renovations made possible by Cladspray and a number of local grants, the Centre has been totally transformed. It is warm, welcoming and has new spaces for support work, groups, training, community meals and so on, and it is already a thriving hub of community activity!
