OUR CHOSEN CHARITY THIS CHRISTMAS

We’re delighted to be supporting the Friend in Deed Little Elves events this year – helping to reduce loneliness this Christmas across Norfolk and Suffolk.

CREATING FRIENDSHIP ACROSS GENERATIONS

Friend in Deed are an amazing charity who organise intergenerational projects. The Little Visitors scheme encourages parents to take children of all ages into care settings for people living with dementia. They are encouraged to play games and spend time with the residents. The scheme helps to enhance the lives of older people by brightening mood, improving mental health and promoting integration in the local community.

SPREADING FESTIVE CHEER

This year, Friend in Deed have organised a number of Little Elves events at care homes across the County. Babies and children are visiting elderly visitors in care home dressed as Christmas Elves to help spread some festive cheer. Their visits also help try and tackle isolation and loneliness. Little Elves events are taking place at a number of care homes over the next few weeks – so please do get in touch with them with them if you are interested in going along.
